Duty-paid delivery
Standard delivery to eligible UK postcodes costs £15 including VAT and is free on eligible duty-paid wine orders of £150 or more. Eligibility is checked against your delivery postcode before payment. The threshold is based on the wine subtotal after any discount and excludes delivery charges.
Not every mainland postcode qualifies for standard delivery. For the Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly and other destinations outside our standard service, please use the delivery quote form below before ordering. We will confirm whether we can deliver, the charge and the expected timescale before you commit. Please do not assume that Northern Ireland, islands or an overseas destination is covered by the standard rate.
For eligible standard deliveries, we aim to deliver within three to five working days after acceptance. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays. If you need wine for a particular date, please contact us before ordering so that we can confirm whether this is possible.
Receiving your delivery
Please arrange for an adult to receive the wine. We use an age-checked handover: recipients who appear under 25 will be asked for accepted proof of age. Wine will not be left in an unattended safe place or handed over where the required age check cannot be completed.
If delivery cannot be completed, contact us to arrange the next step. We will explain any proposed redelivery charge before you agree to it. We will not charge you for putting right a delivery failure caused by us or our carrier.
If your order is damaged, incomplete or incorrect, email orders@owloeb.com as soon as reasonably possible. Photographs of the parcel and contents can help us resolve the issue. This request for prompt notification does not impose a shorter limit on your statutory rights.
Buying in bond
In-bond wine is transferred to an eligible bonded warehouse and account, rather than delivered to your home. You will need to provide the receiving warehouse, physical site, account details and any goods-in reference required for your particular order.
You may pay while a receiving reference is being arranged. We will not release the wine until the receiving arrangements and reference have been checked. Payment is not confirmation that a transfer has taken place.
Eligible standard in-bond transfers cost £30 including VAT on wine orders below £750 and are free on wine orders of £750 or more. The threshold uses the in-bond wine subtotal after any discount, excluding the transfer charge. Exceptional routes or quantities require a separate quotation before payment. Fees charged by your receiving warehouse are not included.
Duty-paid and in-bond wines must be ordered in separate checkouts.
If the proposed receiving arrangement cannot be completed, we will contact you to agree another lawful route or cancellation. We will not impose an unagreed storage charge while the issue is being resolved. If you wish us to provide ongoing storage, we will agree the service and its terms separately.
Duty-paid and in-bond wines
